Kevin Hamann a.k.a. My First Trumpet a.k.a. ClickClickDecker has a new band: Bratze. Alongside fellow Norman Kolodziej (Der Tante Renate!), Hamann hits the dancefloor with Dada-lyrics and, äh, synthetic Electropunk. Check their debut album “Kaft” at Audiolith. So cool.

Last weekend (23. + 24.11.2007) I’ve been to Graz in Southern Austria to visit the Netart Community Convention 2007. Simon Hafner (Winterstrand, Simon On/ Off) invited me to talk about Netlabelism. I brought Alexandr and Lukas from Tupolev who performed a 30-minutes live set under the name of Quartz. Electro-acoustic drones, hmm!

After the concert, we changed the location and visited the experimental rock band Automassage who played a concert in the Forum Stadtpark at the other end of the city (15 minutes by feet, huh!). Rok Vrbancic a.k.a. Neuf Meuf (see 12rec.031 for reference) is at the keys in Automassage. This is what i felt like:

It has been silent around the Kings of the Prenzlauer Berg for quite a while. Recently, Sichtbeton teamed up with Berlin producer Tillevision for a tiny concept EP entitled “Anabelle & Karsten”. Three claiming Rap-tunes with MC Lunte on the Mic and DJ V-Raeter at the decks. The whole thing is online at archive.org for free download! Check it out and keep your eyes open for new Sichtbeton-muzak very soon…
With this last mix, I’m going to close down thirteensongs.net. Release 13S.013 is a good moment to take this step. Due to limited amount of time, I don’t see myself able to go on with this project with the necessary attention. Argh! Filled up with finest handmade CDRs, I tried to send this huge package to Vienna, Austria. It came back today. I paid 17 bucks for the initial shipping and had to give out an additional amount of ten Euros to get it back. Argh! Did I mention that I HATE this shit? WCS.
