Cute! Nice! This little video was filmed and cut by Bruno Vellutini aka Nelas who also did the artwork for my “Underwater Is A Place To Be Alone” mixtape… I think it’s pretty awesome to see how seamless scientific information, music and these wonderful video recordings go together. Downright affecting. And a good excuse to dig out the My First Trumpet album “Frerk” once again! Use this link if you didn’t download it yet: 12rec.043
This is the video for the song “Köln” from the second EP of Munic-based postrockers Jasmin. The EP was release number #26 and is an awesome listen. I finally found out how to post Vimeo videos on WordPress and will spam you guys from now on. Read on for another beautiful Jasmin video…

Ian Hawgood, international man of mystery. Mr. Hawgood is a hard-working musician, with an impressive oeuvre spread over a dozen of quality record labels. While his Koen Park moniker is about IDM- and Hip Hop influenced Electronica, the music he publishes under his civil name can roughly be classified as Ambient, Drone and Noise. His “The Fires Will Die At Night” at Resting Bell is legend already.

Sounds like Canada. Simon Trottier and Mathieu Charbonneau are Montreal Folk outfit Ferriswheel. The guys have a track on 12rec.050 and Simon recorded an awesome album for us in concert with Nicolas Bernier. On 4th Avenue Records, Ferriswheel released their debut full length CD just recently. It comes in a fine cardboard folder with serigraphy b/w print. Yummy! Hop over.

Protestant Work Ethic aka Simon “Party” Usaty has a previously unreleased track on the latest Peppermill Records compilation “The Box“. Three full length releases in one go, “The Box” is pretty much of strange thing. A few fresh names are worth to check out, nevertheless. CandlestickMaker, X.O.X., Br’er, com.pare and the Winderous Igloos are names you should be familiar with.

Daniel Maze has a new EP online. I wasn’t able to listen closely, but on first try it seems Daniel got more experimental this time. Field recordings, a lot of sick processings… different from his usual output, and far different from the delicious 70’s flavoured downbeat track he sent for 12rec.050! “History Development Program” and “Mink O” are my listening suggetions. Out on new Netlabel Maygar. Good luck guys!
