Gloria Gonzalez has been writing about Netlabels for about 5 years in one of the few spanish printed magazines with an own criteria worth paying a few euros for. This is just another humble, subjective and uncertain chapter in our history of Netaudio, where any kind of agent involved in production, distribution, promotion or consume of Netaudio food has a valuable word into the making of its reality.” (more…)

Alongside the notorious Jeremy Bible (Experimedia) and Christian Roth of Resting Bell Netlabel, 12rec. recording artist Ian Hawgood launched a new music label. Home Normal is dedicated to “works of a loosely minimal, organic, folk and/ or electronic nature”.

First two releases include Celer (US) and the awesome Library Tapes (UK). CDs are sold out in some shops already but you can buy MP3s at the usual locations online.

PS: Talking about Christian Roth- this guy launched a record label as well. Check his first release “Capri” by Celer over at www.hummingconch.net

You know Konntinent a.k.a. Antony Harrison for his releases at Serein and Symbolic Interaction or you heard his epic “Dust Cloud Super Hero” on 12rec.50. Anyway, Antony has a new free EP online over at Phantom Channel. Beautiful and haunting guitar miniatures, warm Ambient, lotta goodness! Kudos for the Slint-style artwork.

Herzog… Living in a magazine
April 9, 2009, 3:11 pm

The “Beat“, a german magazine on music production and recording features a three page article/ interview with our electroacoustic-ambient posterboy Herzog in his current print issue. The author of this almost rhapsodic arcticle is Tobias Fischer one of the heads behind the music onlinemag tokafi.com also known for his contributions at earlabs and many other activities in the netaudiosphere. Even though it´s mainly focussed on adressing music producers, the Beat magazine and especially it´s editor in chief Thomas Raukamp is a big fan and supporter of the netlabel phenomena. For example in the current issue there are also features about Creative Commons licences and a view on Jamendo by Christian Grasse along with lots of reviews of netlabel releases including the Error Broadcast Compilation. Thanks for all the support you brave beat people!
